Adai Avial

Adai avail is  famous dish in south india. I learnt this recipe from mom. It is made out of Dal and rice. I love adai with jaggery and Mom loves with avial. Adai tastes yummy with both.

Ingredients:-
Tuar Dal - 1 cup
Boiled Rice - 1 cup
Rice - 1 cup
Chenna Dal - 1 cup
Urad Dal - 3/4 cup
Red Chillies - 4
Green chillies - 2
Curry leaves - a little
Coriander Leaves - a few
Ginger - Small piece
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Oil - to fry adai
Method:-
1.Soak all the above for 3 to 4 hours(Tuar Dal to Red Chillies).
2. Drain Water.
3.Add salt, green chillies,ginger,curry leaves,asafoetida to the above.
3. Grind it into course paste with little water.
4. Batter should be  thick than the normal dosa batter, add coriander leaves.
5. Heat a pan , pour adai batter and make a round adai.
6. Add a Tsp of oil round the corners of Adai and let it cook.
7. Turn into to the other side and cook.
8. Tasty Adai is ready.
9. Serve with Avial and Jaggery.

10. yummy adai is ready to eat. You can add onions to the batter and make adai. it tastes very good.
